Alma Fiesta, is the Annual Socio-Cultural Fest of the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar.It is a three-day long event usually held during the second week of January every year. The first edition of Alma Fiesta took place in 2010 . It was inaugurated by Naveen Patnaik , Chief Minister of Orissa.[1][2][3]

Alma Fiesta 2012 is scheduled to commence on 13th and conclude on January 15, 2012.

Events

Alma Fiesta basically comprises of three type of events -

Alma Fiesta organizes three mega shows,one on each three evening of the fest.The three shows include 'Leela' - an Indian Classical Music/Dance show by renowned artistes, 'Head Bang' - the Heavy Metal Evening & 'Lamhe' - the Bollywood Musical evening . In the past Alma Fiesta has witnessed the performance of stars like famous Bollywood playback singer Krishna Beura , Grammy award winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt , Heavy Metal Band Kryptos , Renowned Hindi poet Kumar Vishwas.
